About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. Being diagnosed with a chronic illness flipped my life upside down and caused me to put my plan to go to law school to the side while I learned how to navigate my new normal. I'm also a single mother so navigating my new normal included trying to provide the most stable environment possible for my wildly intuitive 6 year old who was beginning to come into her own.
After a year of working remotely doing something I really love, I realized that my new normal called for a career path that took into account the three times a week dialysis treatments and my daughter's need for me to be present in her personal, creative, and academic journey. I decided to take a leap into entrepreneurship. This decision has been life changing for myself and my family. I can't wait to take you all on this journey and create a platform for other parents like me to share their journey as well.
